I, frozenchickesmoke am a big fan of Myers- briggs typology. Extroverted or Introverted, iNtuitive or Sensing, Thinking or Feeling, and Perceiving or Judging are the basics.
I am an ENFJ: I love people and am occasionally manipulative for the greater good of those closest to me.
I 'tested' some prominent Harry Potter characters and found the results to be . . . revealing.
I believe Harry to be an ESFJ, characterized as a supportive, traditional, comfortable leader who is sometimes inflexible due to his firm belief in right and wrong.
Hermione, I believe, is an ENTJ, characterized as an analytical, "big picture" thinker who is confident and values intelligence.
Ron, I believe, is an ESFP, characterized as an energetic "people" person, spontaneous, commitment shy, and good with children.
Professor Severus Snape, my personal favorite character, I believe to be an INTJ, characterized as a brilliant, argumentative control freak who avoids emotional risks and needs to be around competent people (Heh).
Dumbledore, I believe, is a fellow ENFJ, characterized as a meddling old coot, but with staggering charisma and genuine concern for the well being of anyone he comes in contact with.
Voldemort is . . . well, a jerk-face. I don't know enough about him to really give him an accurate type, but if actions could talk . . . Hmm . . . I . . . N . . . T . . . J. Amazing.
It makes sense that Severus would be drawn to Voldemort in his youth (Great minds think alike, y'know?), but his love for Lily was all consuming and, let's face it, if your idol and inspiration was out to kill your one true love, you'd be a little ticked, right?
