Four

It's been a very long time. And a lot has changed.

I am an INFJ, not an ENFJ. I suppose a theory I tried to ease myself into was that because I liked other human beings immensely, I was an extrovert. Not so. I get very tired around other people, and I like to be alone if given the choice.
Also, my Myers-Briggs typing of Harry Potter characters was more than likely incorrect as well. As of now (and these opinions may change as I examine characterization further in the future):
Harry Potter - ISFJ
Hermione - ESTJ
Ron - ESTP
Snape - INTJ
Dumbledore - INFJ
Voldemort - INTJ
Luna - INFP
Neville - ISFP
Ginny - ESTP
Fred and George - ENFPs
Lupin - INFJ
Sirius - ISTP
McGonagall - ENTP
Hagrid - ESFJ
Molly - ESFJ
Arthur - ENFP

Again, all these types are probably wrong, but . . . :)

I'm also out of high-school now, so my life is a blank page just waiting to be scribbled on. The question is, which color pen do I want to use?

Three

Humans are perhaps the most fascinating of all creatures. They can be cruel, loving, compassionate. They can be angry, anxious, depressed, joyous, full of hatred, admiration, both. I compare and find them unique, yet exactly the same. They all love, they all cry, the all hold on valiantly to the hope that they deserve something. Anything. Love. Sex. Friends. Pain.
The belief that our love is rational (This person is perfect). The hatred for that person is justified (Have you seen them lately? Ruthless.) The religion we follow is completely plausible (My parents told me so and I haven't found any opposing evidence)
It's amazing how far the human soul can stretch even the shallowest lie to fit current circumstances. A parent dies, there is no god. My mother's cancer is in remission, someone's looking out for me. My boyfriend cheated on me, he wasn't worth it anyway. Lies, lies, lies.
Circumstance is just that: circumstance. Humans come up with so many ways of explaining things when it all just boils down to what they want to believe.
There are children dying in Africa, there's nothing I can do. There are thousands of homeless people, we can't help them all. Better not to waste the effort. But is it? Giving someone hope, even false hope, is sometimes the only thing we can give. Illusions though they may be, beliefs are beliefs, and they keep us tied to the ones we love and the world around us.
When the core beliefs are shattered, often is the owner as well. But to be adaptable is the most honorable of goals. To easily pick up new beliefs and to carry them, whole heartedly, is perhaps the most important skill one can attain in life. To love and to be loved, excellent, yes. But if that love should fade, to find another and dedicate one's self to it is maybe just as honorable.
Maybe.
In conclusion, the most honorable of all human traits is adaptability. In my opinion.

Two

3/29/09

You know what I really hate? (RANT ALERT) Grammar and spelling errors in simple statements. Is it really that hard to proof read your work? Those annoying red lines are there for a reason, people. Your computer is not playing tricks on you, you've made a mistake. It's frustrating to read a fanfiction that sounds really interesting, but is interrupted constantly by horrible grammar, passable vocabulary, and intrusive author's notes. Example:

He walked dowbn to the edj of the dok and diped his feet into the plascid watr 4 a lng moment, nd then he turned to her and sed," Y know i love you very much but i think we shuld take a brek, maybe go on vacashun.

HOW HARD IS IT TO GO BACK AND READ YOUR FUCKING WORK BEFORE YOU POST IT WHERE EVERYONE CAN SEE IT?! AND WHY GET PISSED WHEN YOU GET FLAMED??? IT'S YOUR FAULT, YOU EFFING RETARD,WHY ARE YOU SURPRISED?!?

Okay. Rant over.

In other news, I'm excited about the Half-Blood Prince coming out, even though it was pushed back for that stupid Twilight movie. (Ugh. Horrible script, worse acting.)
:) An entire screen of Severus Snape. I can't wait. :)

In case you were wondering (Seriously? Who would?), I am an avid reader of fanfiction, especially that of the Harry Potter series. And I hate numerous, obvious mistakes. So, ha.

One

I, frozenchickesmoke am a big fan of Myers- briggs typology. Extroverted or Introverted, iNtuitive or Sensing, Thinking or Feeling, and Perceiving or Judging are the basics.
I am an ENFJ: I love people and am occasionally manipulative for the greater good of those closest to me.
I 'tested' some prominent Harry Potter characters and found the results to be . . . revealing.
I believe Harry to be an ESFJ, characterized as a supportive, traditional, comfortable leader who is sometimes inflexible due to his firm belief in right and wrong.
Hermione, I believe, is an ENTJ, characterized as an analytical, "big picture" thinker who is confident and values intelligence.
Ron, I believe, is an ESFP, characterized as an energetic "people" person, spontaneous, commitment shy, and good with children.
Professor Severus Snape, my personal favorite character, I believe to be an INTJ, characterized as a brilliant, argumentative control freak who avoids emotional risks and  needs to be around competent people (Heh).
Dumbledore, I believe, is a fellow ENFJ, characterized as a meddling old coot, but with staggering charisma and genuine concern for the well being of anyone he comes in contact with.
Voldemort is . . . well, a jerk-face. I don't know enough about him to really give him an accurate type, but if actions could talk . . . Hmm . . . I . . . N . . . T . . . J. Amazing.
It makes sense that Severus would be drawn to Voldemort in his youth (Great minds think alike, y'know?), but his love for Lily was all consuming and, let's face it, if your idol and inspiration was out to kill your one true love, you'd be a little ticked, right?
